The Kadron Klass is for the poor at heart or the financially challenged.
   This is not completely true, but if you dont have the
large expense account, then this is the class for you.

What about rules?
The only main rule that is strictly enforced is you must
use Kadrons. They dont have to be new. What if you
have a sand rail? Or a dragster with 2400cc motor?
As long as you use Kadrons then you are welcome.

There will be one class for this year.
This class will use a 13.90 pre set index.This means you can not go faster than 13.90 but get as close to that number as possible.Here is the fun part, the guy next to you is running the same time,so you both leave the line at the same time from a .500 light.

No weight is a good weight!
There is no weight restriction for the class but try and
keep your car safe.Please use your heads!

You must run Kadrons.
They can be modified.

I dont care if your car runs 28.00sec 1/4 mile pass and looks like a rustbucket.. That means that you are at least out on the track.

Why Kadrons and not Webers or Dellortos?
1.I have picked up used sets of Kadrons at swapmeets,
carshows, etc. with everything to run, bolt right up to my
car and made 14.sec 1/4 mile passes all for under $50
bucks!
2.The easiest carb to tune and adjust that i know of.
3.A new set of Kadrons is under $400 bucks."Complete"
4.Over the last 20 years no other carb has given you more
bang for your buck in the vw world.
5.I have proven that you can make power with these carbs
with "no modifications."
6.If you want you can start your own class of racing, I have
picked Kadrons for their simplicity and availability.
You live to far to drive.
If you have a set of Kadrons and you want to race but you
live to far to drive to the meets than e-mail me your stats
and 1/4 mile times with a picture and i will post them on
the site as a Kadron Klass top 20 member

The Klass will have a major sponsor for the 2005 season BUGFORMANCE Motorsports of
Sacramento. This will help guaranty a $400 purse at
each race. Plus we will have over $125 in sponsor
contingency money that is awarded to #1 qualifier,
Best light, and the winner of that race. This year
we will make it a points race as the season points
leader will recive a large pot at the end of the year, cash and prizes.

I have four races lined up for the 2005 seson,one at Fontana, two at Sacramento and the last one at Vegas.I would like to see a gathering of Klass members race
one night at either Irwindale or Fontana for fun if we can all get together..This will be in the works. May be one of the drag days next year.

What are most of the guys running for the Klass?
1915cc, around 120 cams,with 1.25 rockers close to 9.5:1 or higher!, 40x35 heads some still have stock valve 35x32, 1 1/2 header, 46mm kads with no venturies and some seat time with stock gear box and thats it. No slicks, big motors.etc..
