First, I ran a best of 17.3 secs at the Easter Thunderball Event at Santa Pod raceway this year in my stock 1641cc+Kadron motor in a street legal UVA Fugitive. Sandrail type of thing - see pic attached and www.eurodragster.com for full timing data - I race in the Sportsman VW class of the VWDRC in the UK. Number SPVW96 Also, last year a friend of mine ran a best of 16.9 in a full street legal and weight bug. Engine spec was 1641cc, cw balanced crank, Engle 110, Home ported stock heads with semi-hemi chambers fly cut for 10:1 CR and Kadrons....  He won the streetcar shootout for sub 1776cc bugs aswell at the same event, Big Bang also at santa pod.
