First off congrats to Scott Missbrenner for winning the top eliminator.
The hole clan of racers that showed up and pit with us did very well. Kevin Reynolds ran some
real good times with his RKC quality Kadron powered 1835 car. Eric and Kevin with their
supergas Manx that has one of my extra turbo motors in it until we build them a new powerplant
(Boost is fun and addicting but keep it lower than 20lbs!! ). The Overbecks ,Nick and Matt had a
learning experience with their 1600T kit on a 1904cc motor (It takes time to make big power).
Kai driving his dads 1776 turbo ghia was loving life( You will have your own turbo some day!!).
Kenneth had tuff luck braking the tranny first round "dammmnn it". Dave from Proformance does
not want to tear the motor apart yet, postpone the bad news, Still some fast as hellll times for that
lead sled!! The Top man of the day was Scott and his 1915cc Kadron powered oval that screamed
down the strip with a best of 9.24 and doing some big burnouts off the line. I notice that when Scott
won, the group of us standing at the starting line screamed for him but half of the people looked at us
as if we were on the wrong side. Sorry but Scott works with me and I know Mike would have loved to
had that trophy under his belt, but that was Scotts first win and it couldn't of happend to a nicer guy.
Best quote of the day was when we stopped Scott at the end of the return road and opened his door,
"I Just Beat Muffler Mike"
Mike has earned his name and earned it well and for Scott to take that crown is
like David verses Goliath.

As for myself, first practice was a little on the scary side. I did some research and changes to my carbs " For the good". The car came out of the hole so hard and pulled like no other time.
I have always set my car up to wheelie, but only in first gear. To grab second gear with the wheels on
there way down is crazy. The first pass the car was going straight until I grabbed second, at that time
there was a slow drift to the left toward the wall. I could tell that it was not going to hit the wall, but was
going to be close. Just as the car came down it jumped to the right and swung the rear out sending
me toward the other wall, and into Ray Mejia's lane. Luckily Ray has a faster car and was out in front
of me so it was a close miss. After that and some cold water and a new pair of shorts I was
somewhat OK.
Lee Gong had me but had a big red light, you  ran your number though. Too bad Taylor red lit up against me because he had me so bad. I lost in the finals by red lighting with Ray Mejia taking
the jack pot. I ran a best of 7.33 @92mph that day and had the best 60' ever with a 1.505
I did get $100 for the fastest Kadron for the day and $50 for runner up in the Jackpot class.
I am not going to Colorado due to saving my money to by some beach front property in Arizona.
Thanks to Rich Kimball and all of his helpers for the fun. Can we do a Bug-In night race next time? I hate that  heat!!!
