94A for non stroker cranks 94B for stroker cranks |
94mm pistons cut to fit into 90.5 / 92 mm bore. Wy would you want to do this? The main benefit to these clearanced barrels is strength on the case side. If your application is going to use High Compression, NOS or Turbo this will leave more material around each head stud, lessening the chance of each stud wanting to pull out or cracking the case. Adding this extra material around each stud will increase the cases strength and rigidity. Can I just drop them in? *Not all cases that are bored for 90.5/92mm will allow these kits to just drop in. You may have to do some hand clearancing on the case for the piston skirts. It depends on how the case was bored.See pics below.. |

This way you don't have to split the case to build a 1777,1915,2054,2165,2276,2332,2387
or 2442cc motor. *If you have a 90.5/92 motor and want to add 94's but do not want to open the case than these are the pistons for you*. |
look at the two pics. The Blue arrows show the step that is left in by some shops if the case is cut for 90.5 or 92 bore. The Red shows were you will need to cleanerce if your case does not have the step than you do not need to clearance. |
