I had to notch my pistons twice.
The first time was not enough.
Now with .100" on the intake
and .115" on the exhaust.
"I LOVE THIS MILL".
The stock  rods are almost ready for assembly.
I lighten them up by 1.65 grams. After talking
with Dave about what is the weakest link in the
motor we decided i should purchase the
Scat  H beam rods. So now I have all this time in
lighting the stock rods and balancing. "DAM IT"
Heres the race heads with the test springs on to check
the piston to valve clearance. You can see the coil bind
numbers are on the valve cover surface.
I set the intakes .100" over  coil bind
and the exhaust .085" over coil bind.
I have Erco triple valve springs and titanium retainers
on my heads now. Still only 40x37 but with all the tricks that I know.
With a 69mm crank and the compression so high this is what you need to do.
