The deck lid will close. The 1600T kit comes  with 1 3/8" ceramic coated header (Made in the USA) for up to 1915cc motors. In the picture you can see the header with some test heat wrap. Look close to the bottom of the decklid, it kicks the decklid out to look like a  carburated car. (Its just a 1600....... I say.)
