A few words from one of our racers: (Mr. Barret Camper)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lowbugget.com and RetroRacing team up to take a top three win in the Carrera Panamericana!

The PanAm is a week-long 2000+ mile road race through the mountains of Mexico, and one of the hardest tests of man and
machine. Carburetion systems have to endure sea level heat and humidity, and thin cold air at altitudes up to 8000 feet
where there are mountain roads so high the clouds are below them.
Only the foolish -- or the best prepared -- dare the Carrera.

A.J. Sims has long been building winning racing heads and preparing Kadron carbs, and RetroRacing has long been winning
SCCA DM/EM autocross championships, and running Porsche, BMW, and NASA high performance driving events at the
major southeastern sports car tracks, kicking asphalt and taking numbers.

Justin Broughton (piloto) and Barret Camper (co-piloto), as RetroRacing, entered a 1965 Karmann Ghia in the 2007
Carrera in Histórica A, a class for 4-cylinder cars 1965 and older. The 1600cc engine built for the Ghia was equipped
with A.J. Sims heads, LBC cam, and Kadron carbs.

The 2007 Carrera Panamericana was run from 26 October to 01 November. Almost 90 teams from ten countries came
to race. A dozen cars crashed. More broke down and dropped out. Only five of the nine Histórica A cars were to finish.
The Broughton-Camper team took four podium finishes and an overall 3rd place "top three" finish on it's first time in the Carrera. And that was with two days out for rear suspension repairs!

A.J. Sims Kadrons performed under conditions that would have choked a Weber, and his heads, lifters, and cam combination made power to outrun the Porsches.

That smell, that gasoline smell! Smells like victory.
